To many people 1916 was a year full of exciting and lively things, even for Carlisle Cullen. Carlisle had just taken a job in Ohio, Cleveland Ohio to be exact. He had worked in Columbus in 1911 and he didn't want people to start being suspicious of him. It was his last year in Columbus in 1911, and when he was done at his previous job, he decided to transfer back to that hospital. he wasn't sure why, or what was keeping him in Ohio, but whatever it was, was strong.

1916 - who could forget such a year. People are living happily, going about their day to day business on a daily basis, never once thinking that Vampires could be lurking in the same city as their home. It wasn't a thought of theirs.

Since Carlisle had left the Volturi, Aro is always keeping an eye on his good friend. Yet, what will happen to Carlisle once he sees Esme again, after the four year gap since her broken leg... will he be able to contain his heart as he falls in love with her? How will Carlisle react when his and Esme's son comes from the future to help save Esme along side him?...

What will happen to Esme when she realizes that the love of her life is back in Ohio and she can not escape the nightmare in which Charles has trapped her in? What really happened in 1916?
