I failed dramatically with last year, but this year... I'm going to plan early for it. I'm going to come up with a story to actually write about, a plot, I'm going to seriously plan it out so it won't be as hard. And when November comes 'round, I'll make sure to have my mother collect for me plentiful of junk food and Mountain Dew. I write a lot better when I have something like Chex Mix and something to drink with me.
So I should start with little ideas now- and start creating characters for it. Now, I know I'll change them from time to time, adjusting them to the story plot, or just how to I feel inside me they should be. See, when I created Slim, he felt perfect when I made him. He was supposed to be how he came out.
I think what I should really focus on before time comes is my writing itself, too. I have horrible vocabulary; I need to read a dictionary or something. Plus, I'm not satisfied with my writing style. I'll have to work on it.
I wonder what type of tone I should use. Definitely nothing depressing; I dislike morbidly depressing books, and that would be how my book would end up if I approached that area in the slightest. I'll reserve depression for my poems- seriously, I'm going to end up with a poetry book because of how much poetry I write... and it won't be a very pretty book. Anyway, so tone! I could go for exciting in a serious way. If that's understandable. The way that keeps oneself on the tips of their toes.
.. Hmm. I think that's about all for this thread. Comments, to liven the place up? It's still in progress yet, but we should at least make it appear as we're already going to be up-kept, right? =D
