"I-I don't know. I don't usually...I don't listen to them at all come to think of it." He sighed again. Then he rubbed his muzzle into hers for comfort. He felt stupid.

For a few seconds, she said nothing, just nuzzled him. Then, she looked over to his sisters, and grabbed the rabbit and tossed it over to the young kitsunes. "Here, enjoy!" She yipped at them, before ushering Benito out of the clearing.
"Lets go for a walk, okay?" She suggested thoughtfully.

"Ok..." He walked off with her into the forest. "I'm sorry. I hope I didn't embarrass you or anything. I just cant help but be this way..." He sighed again.

"Embarass me?" Sully asked him, pressing her coat into his. "How would you embarass me like that? You're so silly, Benny." She nuzzled his neck fur and licked his cheek.
"Why are you like that, anyway? I mean, I just don't get it I guess. I want to understand though, you know? I'm just so curious. Rabbit tastes delicious, even if I feel bad about them dying I don't think I could get over how tasty they are!" She moved her muzzle away from him, staring down at the ground. "I wish I had as much empathy as you. I don't really understand other creatures like you do... I guess I'm selfish."

"No Sully. You do what you think is right. Please don't feel bad just because I'm weird." He licked her muzzle softly. "I wish I was more like you. I feel awkward with myself. Kinda like human females are about their appearance? Maybe that was a bad example..." He blushed oddly.

Sully didn't think he was weird. She wished she could explain how she saw him, but he probably wouldn't listen anyway. She had to find a way to make him feel better though...
"Maybe we can learn to be more like each other," she spoke softly, pressing close and curling one of her tails around his. "What do you think, Benny?"

He smiled at her as he curled his tail back around her's. "That sounds like a good idea Sully. Maybe we should start our journey?" He cuddled her close. "But first we should get you something to eat huh?"

For a while, she stared at Benito and snuggled close. Was she being too much trouble by asking for him to help find him another rabbit. She really, really liked being this close to him though. His foresty, intricate smell was so much stronger here where he belonged...
Although she figured an adventure with him would be really fun! On the other hand, they juuuuust got back, and maybe they shouldn't go right away...
It was about this point she realized she hadn't said anything in a while, and she laid her ears back in embarassment, looking up at him.
"Oh, um, yeah..." She answered finally, nuzzling his muzzle. "But don't you think that you should stay a bit longer and see your family?" She didn't mention the fact that the hunters outside terrified her.

"Yeah we can do that. Since you're from the mountains I could help you hunt in the forest and ...stuff." He smiled shyly at her. Best adventure ever, He thought to himself. He walked her over to the meat pile. His face looked sad but he picked up a hare before someone else could grab it.
He turned to her and put it down in front of her. "Enjoy." His tails wagged softly. He didn't notice everyone in the village staring at them, smiling, besides some of the females.

Sully's tails went wild, whipping around with excitement as she flopped down in front of the rabbit. She wondered if it tasted anything like mountainous snow hares she was used to! They seemed less fluffy, that was for sure. The forest rabbits reminded her of snow hares in the spring.
She delicately picked up the rabbit in her mouth, and tucked it under her paws, tearing its flesh from its bones and into her jaws.
Yep, it tasted just as good. "Thank you Bennnnnny~" She cooed softly after swallowing, before continuing to eat the poor, poor wittle rabbit.

He already had his back to her. "I'm glad you like it." He chuckled awkwardly, which amused everyone. "Sorry for my back to you. I don't mean to be rude..." He played with the dirt with his tails. It helped him focus on something else than her eating and the village... eating..ugh. He could barely stand it. Just focus on the drawing Benny, he told himself.
So that's what he did. He drew a detailed tree with life, both plant and animal. He knew it wouldn't last but it was still beautiful.

"Oh, I understand," Sully replied, her tails swishing. "I don't expect you to want to watch me eat." She ate quickly, licked her chops, and then nuzzled up close to Benny again.
"All done, see?" She asked, curling her tails around him.

"No thanks." He joked with an awkward chuckle and continued to draw. "I'd rather focus on my drawing. Do you like it?" He added one last swirl to his tree and stepped back. "I think it came out pretty good..."

"Oh, wow, it's really pretty..." Sully murmured, pulling one of her tails over to delicately go over the drawing- careful not to mess up a single line, but just to trace it. "... Oh! I know!" She yipped excitedly, pressing her tail into a space between the lines.
Suddenly there was a rich, bright glow swirling down the swirls on her tail, and it filled the whole picture with white, bright light. For a moment there was no picture but only blinding light, but when it faded the earth had changed colors, as if minerals had become rich, turning some of the birds into red, bright cardinals and robins. And something almost like moss was in the leafy part of the tree, and something that couldn't quite be described turned the surronding dirt into a blueish sky.
"Do you like it?" She asked, her ears twitching up eagerly.

"It's beautiful Sully.' he said in awe and snuggled close to her. It's Beautiful Sully, you really do complete me is what he wanted to say. It was embarrassing and awkward if he did. He was glad his mother was not around-
"Wow Sully that is beautiful. You really do complete Benito. Oh~ My grand children will be magnificent!~" She sighed happily and started to ramble about grand children. Benito was redder than usual. Oh my god Mother shut up! Is what he really wanted to say...
