"Oh, will they?" She wondered aloud, grinning a very, very toothy grin.
Suddenly, a thousand little sparks appeared in the sky, swirling around the younger pups. "If you catch one, I'll play with you." Then the sparkles scattered, fleeing away from the kitsunes, racing away to hide.
She pressed her muzzle to Benny's ear and murmured softly, so only he could hear. "The trick to catching them, of course, is to gain control of them, rather then catch them with your own paws... which is impossible. It should keep them busy, nyeh?"

They quickly ran off. "I'LL GET YOOOOU!!! =D" They all giggled. The elders watching just chuckle and continued to eat their meals. He looked at her and smiled.
"Yeah, it should work quite well. My home is this way." He trotted off to a nice tree hut. There were flowers everywhere. "Like it?"

"Oh, wow.. You don't get flowers like this up in the mountains," she told Benny in a matter-of-fact tone, poking her nose into one to get a good sniff of it by itself. Her ears relaxed back, and she looked up at him. "Is your home like a cave, then? But in a tree?" She murmured thoughtfully, trotting back over to him and pressing close.
"And is your mum inside?"

"Yes. Its a tree cave. Looks small on the outside but its huge in the inside." He sat down outside of it but off to the side. "Sit by me but not too close. Mom I'm home!"
"BENITO!" came an excited and LOUD voice. Then lots of tiny feet running was heard. A beautifully Dark red female came out. She had nine tails. "Welcome home sweetie!" She looked at Sully. "And who is this?~~~" Then his sisters came out of the hut. also very beautiful.

"My name's Sully, Misses!" She replied eagerly, her tails swishing with enthusiasm. "It's very nice to meet you finally, you see I met--" Her voice was now going a mile a minute, "-- Benny over in the human town, Printh, have you heard of it? And I met him and then we decided to go on an adventure together! So we did, but now he took me here because he thinks he's been away from home too much! He's a really great friend, he is."
She shoved him over playfully. "I was telling him how we should pretend that we were mates because he said you always scare kitsunes away with all this talk of him needing a mate, but I think he has plenty of time don't you? I think I do too, too much time to just be settling down- although he is so cute, your son Benny-- I want to see the world you know? So I think you shouldn't be so hard on him about the whole mate thing."
She stopped for a single moment, almost long enough for someone to start talking before she started up again. "But I guess I shouldn't tell you what to do, I just wanted to make my stance on the matter clear before you started embarrassing him. He's all worried that you'll chase me away or something, but I don't really plan on going anywhere. It's so... smelly here. Smelly in a good way, of course."

"Well I can see you only have four tails so maybe you are pretty young but I know some kitsunes that are younger than you that have a mate. This world is crazy now a days with all the hunters populating more and more. Not all areas are safe like this one. Young Kitsunes are dieing every day so I think this is a good time for Benny to mate before he dies. Since he wants to explore the world which is extremely dangerous! Maybe you can travel together. I'm sure you will have lots of fun. You would be safe with Benito as well. He my not look like much but I think he was passed down the spirit of his great-grand father. 'Ive never seen a young kitsune so in touch with the earth. Once he learns that killing and eating other animals is part of the great cycle I just know he will be a very powerful kitsune. He's a keeper. Stick with him and you will have lots of adorable kits! I can't wait to be a grandmother." Her mother babbled as Benito sat there quietly.

Sully pressed her nose into Benito's ruff, tickling it with all his fur. She held back a sneeze, listening to everything for a moment, before breaking out into chatter herself again.
"Well, yes, of course- I'm sure he's a keeper. The only thing is, my mum taught me a bit of something about love and all. I think she knows 'cause she loved someone once herself, probably more than she ever loved my dad, which is why I never really saw him much. Although, that's just what it seemed like to me." She cocked her head to one side, her face still mostly berried in his fluffy neckfluff.
"The thing is, I know what a crush is very well since my mum explained it to me. It's when you feel like you're going to be with someone forever and ever and you can't stop thinking about how cute and awesome the guy is, and you somehow just become so obsessed with him and you just hope that he feels the same. Mum always said love was different, and it's probably true because I've felt this way before about a kitsune, but things didn't quite work out. Of course I wouldn't mind hanging around with Benny, and I'd love to get close to him-- if I wanted to have pups I certainly wouldn't mind, but I don't really right now-- and I would especially like to adventure with him for a while that's for sure..."
She finally pulled her muzzle out of his ruff, looked the mother in the eye for a moment, then down in respect, "but yeah, it's just a crush I have."

"Well let us hope that it becomes something more! So Benito would you go with the other males to hunt? I'll show your crush around." Benito frowned.
"Mother you know I cannot hurt creatures of any kind." His mother laughed.
"What happened outside the vines says something different.~" He looked down at the ground in shame as his sisters giggled. "I'm sorry Mother."
"Please don't apologize sweet heart. I think it just shows how powerful you can be when you don't act like a coward." His sisters giggled more as he sulked more.

"He's not a coward!" Sully insisted in an almost angered tone, her tails swishing. "Nor does he act like one. He's just sensitive and gentle, is all."
She nudged her muzzle under his and pushed it up. "You just have to help look is all, don't you? Besides, snow hare is really good, so I'm sure if you could get me a forest rabbit I would love it."

"I'll try..." He muttered and wandered off with the others. His mother looked at her. "I'm sure you understand that life in the forest is very different than in the mountains. You may see things different than we but I suggest you don't comment to the elders as you did to me. Now just follow me." She walked around the 'village' as her tiny daughters followed her like ducklings.
Mean while, Benito wandered off away from the pack to look for a forest hare. He saw mice and moles and birds but he wanted to get what she wanted. When he finally saw one he only thought of Sully. He didn't think about the animal's life. He chased it and easily caught it.
He trotted into the 'village', tails up and proud. He got his present for Sully! He hoped she would like it.

As soon as she had been scolded, her ears flattened back and she dipped her head in respect. "I'm very sorry," she mumbled, "I know I say some stuff I shouldn't some times, I just think that Benny did a really good job in helping me get here and I know he's capable of a lot more than he thinks..." She trailed off slightly and followed quietly from then on, holding her tongue as well as she could.
When Benito came back, however, she stopped instantly. The look on his face was absolutely and completely full of pride. It made her giddy to see him so excited; she bounced over to him. He had done it, he had actually got her a rabbit!
"Oh wow! Oh wow! Benny!' She yipped, hopping up and down in front of him. "Will you share it with me, please?" She asked, her tails swishing with excitement.

"Sure!" He smiled. Wait what? "Oh, I mean." He set the rabbit down. "I don't like...meat...oh my god...oh..my god...!" He quickly backed away from the dead rabbit staring at it in complete terror.

Sully tilted her head for a moment, before trotting around Benito and curling herself around him. "It's okay, Benny, really," she insisted, trying to sooth him quickly.
"It's natural, it's instinct. It's perfectly okay, the bunny killed plenty of little bits of grass, and the grass took energy and nutrients from dead foxes and other animals!" She told him quickly, before uncurling around him and picking up the rabbit.
She looked at him, and said through a mouthful of fur, "you don't have to eat it with me if you don't want... but I really appreciate you getting it for me."

The white kitsune put the bunny down and tilted her head to the other side. "What does your instinct tell you to do?" She asked, rubbing her muzzle against his.
